Polish Art Philharmonic on Harvest Festival

The 100th Anniversary of Reymont’s Visit to Wierzchoslawice

On the occasion of the centenary of Wladyslaw Reymont’s visit to Wierzchoslawice, the home village of Martyna, a special open-air concert was organized to honor both the Nobel Prize-winning author and the cultural legacy of the region.

The performance, conducted by Martyna together with the Polish Art Philharmonic, featured an all-Polish program highlighting the works of two eminent composers: Mieczysław Karłowicz and Wojciech Kilar. Their music, deeply rooted in national tradition, resonated across the evening, capturing the spirit and richness of Polish culture.

This exceptional event not only commemorated Reymont’s historical connection with Wierzchoslawice, but also united literature, history, and music in a celebration of national heritage.
