Janáček’s Sinfonietta for the first time in the Olsztyn Philharmonic

Under the baton of Martyna Zych, the Philharmonic of Warmia and Mazury performed Sinfonietta by Leos Janacek.

It was a historic moment for the Olsztyn Philharmonic with composition never played before and performed based on the composer’s manuscript. Sinfonietta uses, apart from symphonic orchestra, eleven trumpets and two bass tubas. Musicians taking part in this concert were invited from the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Sinfonia Varsovia and Sinfonia Iuventus. Apart from that special composition we could listen Three dances from The Bartered Bride by B. Smetana and F. Chopin Piano Concerto in e Minor with Aleksandra Świgut as a soloist.
