Martyna Zych was invited to give the lecture at Academy of Art in Szczecin (PL). Her presentation focused on the Czech national opera, exploring composers, historical development, and the cultural significance of opera in the Czech Republic. During the lecture, she highlighted the works of the most important Czech composers such as Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák, and Leoš Janáček, discussing their contributions to the evolution of Czech opera and their influence on European music.
Following the lecture, students engaged in a lively discussion, drawing connections between Polish and Czech folk traditions. A key part of the discussion focused on the role of language in folk traditions, highlighting how both Polish and Czech folk music incorporate unique linguistic elements such as dialects, rhymes, and regional expressions.
