Biography

Martyna Zych is a conductor specialising in Czech music. She made her Czech debut at the Talentinum Festival and inaugurated the 2022/2023 artistic season in Karlovy Vary.

She is the co-founder and principal conductor of the Orchestra for Ukrainian Refugee Musicians, which was awarded the Bronze Diploma at the 2023 Musical Eagles Competition in Łódź. In 2024, she was selected as one of 14 conductors worldwide for the prestigious La Maestra competition in Paris.

In the 2023/2024 season, she was the Conductor-in-Residence at the Olsztyn Philharmonic.

She has collaborated with numerous renowned orchestras in Poland and abroad, including the Paris Mozart Orchestra, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR), Szczecin Philharmonic, Hungarian National Symphony Orchestra Szeged, Zlín Philharmonic, Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra, Kalisz Philharmonic, Gorzów Philharmonic, and Sinfonia Iuventus.

She is collaborating with Czech conductors: Jakub Hrůša and Tomáš Netopil.

In addition to her conducting career, she is an active violist working at Sinfonia Iuventus.
