Celebrating Young Artists with the Calisia Philharmonic

Every year, Martyna Zych returns to Calisia Philharmonic to conduct a special concert featuring the diploma students of the Calisia Music School together with the orchestra. The 4th Edition, held on March 13th, once again proved how meaningful and powerful this collaboration has become.

The evening opened with Bedřich Smetana’s symphonic poem Vltava — a Czech masterpiece and one of Martyna Zych’s beloved works. The orchestra opened the evening with clarity, depth, and expressive energy, immediately establishing the artistic strength of the program.

The program also featured outstanding performances by the diploma soloists. The audience had the opportunity to hear Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor, interpreted with passion, sensitivity, and impressive technical command. Another highlight of the evening was Édouard Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole, full of energy, elegance, and virtuosity, bringing vibrant character and emotional intensity to the stage.
