The Polish scholarship program from NIMiT “Dyrygent-rezydent” is giving an opportunity for young conductors to work with professional orchestras.
Martyna Zych was selected to work for the season 2023/2024 with Olsztyn Philharmonic and had six intensive weeks as a conductor or assistant conductor. Their concerts included (among others) the premiere of Janacek Sinfonietta, Polish Symphony by Henryk Wars and Beethoven Symphony No. 9. This last composition performed by two connected orchestras (Olsztyn Philharmonic and Elbląg Chamber Orchestra) and six choirs took place in Hala Urania with almost three hundred seats for the public.
